Tamagawa Sake Brewery has been brewing sake since 1673 in Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan's number one rice producer, and this year marks its 351st year.
Uonuma City is famous for having some of the heaviest snowfall in Japan, with 4 meters of snow falling in the winter.
Taking advantage of the blessings of snow, we use snowmelt water for brewing sake, and use Yukikura, a snow storage facility, to store sake.
In recent years, it has received high praise at many competitions, including the Grand Prize at the National Taxation Bureau Liquor Competition and the Gold Award at the National New Sake Competition.
